Richard David "Dave" Harris, 51, passed away August 14, 2018. Dave was born in Somerset, Kentucky to Jackie Cook Lawson and the late Richard Harris. A funny guy with a big heart who was known by many names, "Grandpa Beavis" or "Papaw Dave" to his family or "Duh" to the many people who loved him. He loved boating and being on the water.

Besides his mother, left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Cathy; children, Ryan Harris (Chelsea Fries), Kristen Nolan (Josh), Jason Moore (Cortney), and Larry Burdine; grandchildren, Julian, Kayden, Maxwell, Alexis, and Blaire; siblings, Rosetta Clark (Brian), Christopher Harris, Sheila Harris, and Billy Harris; mother-in-law, Sarah Clinedinst; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Friday, August 17, 2018, from 6-7:30 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 at noon at the funeral home.
