Obituary for Phyllis Ann Papp (Andersen)
Phyllis Ann Papp, 86, of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away May 16, 2020. Mrs. Papp was born July 09, 1933 in Norwich, Connecticut to the late Raymond and Anna Andersen. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Robert J. Papp Sr. and a son, Brian D. Papp.
In 1994, she and her loving husband retired to Martha's Vineyard where they resided in Chilmark and attended the West Tisbury Congregational Church. Then in 2001, they settled in Chesapeake, Virginia, where they were members of the Great Bridge United Methodist Church. She is survived by a daughter Carol Maher and her husband George of Sunset Beach, NC, two sons, Robert J. Papp, Jr. and his wife Linda of Fairfax Station, VA., and Raymond (Andy) Papp of Moyock, NC; eight granddaughters, Lauren Maher Courchaine and her husband Brian of San Antonio, TX, Ashley Maher Silkowski and Eric of Holly Springs NC, Nicolene Papp Hodgkiss and her husband Alexander of Birmingham, England, Brianna Marie Lianos and her husband Christopher of Naugatuck, CT, Megan Elizabeth Samola and her husband James of CT, Lindsay Sher and her husband Justin, Caitlin Loop and her husband Bryan, Jillian Milbert and her husband Jordon.; Two grandsons Hunter Papp of Castle Rock, CO, and Taylor Papp and his wife Samantha of Moyock, NC. Mrs. Papp was also blessed with fifteen great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Chesapeake, VA. Burial will be at Great Bridge United Methodist Church. Local arrangements are being cared for by Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to
