Phyllis J. Caldwell, 92, passed away February 25, 2021. Phyllis was born in Groseclose, Virginia to the late George and Lucy Reedy Joyce. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband, Lewis F. Caldwell. Phyllis was a long time, very active member of Adventure Christian Church in Travers, FL before returning to the Tidewater area. She was a loving mother and a phenomenal grandmother or "Mutter", as she was affectionately called.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving son, James L. Caldwell and his wife, Judy; grandchildren, Julie Carson and James M. Caldwell; great-grandchildren, Victoria Carson, Mason Carson, Hailee Caldwell, and Rachel Caldwell; and sisters, Frankie Sedlmeyer and Wanda Hudgins.

A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, with Pastor Kevin Ritter officiating.
