Paul Edward Garrett, 82, passed away August 18, 2021. Paul was born to the late Anne and Charles Garrett. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his loving wife of 53 years, Gaynell Ella Giles Garrett. Paul was a graduate of Deep Creek High School class of 1956, Old Dominion University, and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Following his service, he worked as a Surveyor with John E. Sirine and Associates, eventually retiring as a Vice-President. Paul loved hunting with dogs and being a part of the fellowship in both the Central Hill Hunt Club and Blackwater Hunt Club.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving children, Debbie G. Harrison, Ronnie Garrett (Kenna), and Anita Garrett; grandchildren, Nick Harrison, Wes Harrison (Kelly), Alyssa Meade (Brian), and Brooklyn Garrett; great-grandchildren, Kaylee Harrison and one on the way, Remington Paul; and a host of other family and friends.
The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, on Sunday, August 22, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. A service to celebrate his life will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 23, 2021 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tracy Gregory officiating.
