Nettie Lou Jackson Bednarz, 70, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on November 5, 2022. Nettie was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Clifford and Rena Thigpen Jackson and the youngest of 9 children. She was a Sales Representative for Geico for 17 years before becoming a full time homemaker for her family. Nettie was a longtime and faithful member of Gospel Hall Laurel Avenue. Other than her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers D.J. "Tanker" Thigpen, Gerald Jackson, Cecil Jackson, Wilber Jackson, and her sister Linda Kay Stroud.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 37 years, Michael Bednarz; daughter, Rebekah (Virgil); son, Caleb (Kelsie); grandson,Virgil; sisters, Jessie Childress, Julia Rellos, and Marsha Hair; mother-in-law, Janet Cavallaro; father-in-law, George Bednarz; and a host of other family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Monday, November 14, 2022 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Bro. Robbie Thompson officiating. She will be privately laid to rest at a later date at Albert G.
