We attended church with Celene. She was such a joy to see on Sunday. I (Pat) will sincerely miss her and the lengthy conversations we shared, especially during her illness. She loved life, her husband, Carl and all of her family. I loved hearing the stories of her childhood in Dinwiddie and her love and respect for her mother. Celene will be missed.

She liked my poetry. This is something I wrote as my tribute to her memory and to help my family and Carl's family to get through our pain:
DEDICATED TO THE MEMORY OF MY AUNT-CELENE ELSIE RONEY BALLARD 18 FEB 1933 TO 19 NOV 2019 RIP & you are forever loved

As I look up to heaven, I see a glorious paradise.
I know that my Lord has prepared it for me and I can see it with my own eyes
When I finally reach the streets of gold, I know
I'll miss those I leave behind, but I know that someday I'll finally see them all
I have no doubt about that. So don't grieve for me my family. I know that you'll miss me too, but death is but a blink of an eye and I'll finally be with you.
With love from your neice,
Sandra M. Sutherland
