Obituary for MMCM Richard John "Jack" Price, Sr. USN Ret.

Richard John “Jack” Price, Sr., 88, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 19, 2020. He was born in Massillon, OH to the late John Price and Anne LoPresti. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Clyde Price.
Jack served his country faithfully for 27 years in the US Navy. He retired in 1978 as a Master Chief. His Naval career left him with a love for flashlights; he kept a flashlight handy, so he was always ready to stand watch. His hobbies were: collecting clocks, crossword puzzles, oil painting and he was avid reader to the end. He loved to watch baseball; he and Clyde attended Norfolk Tides games together. He was also a devoted Cleveland Browns fan until the day he died, he rarely missed an Ohio State football game.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 14 years, Archa M. Price; daughter, Janet Ezzell and her husband David; son, John Price, Jr. and his wife Jo Ellen; stepdaughters; Tara and her husband Captain Shawn Huey and Marjorie Goulding. He is survived by 4 grandchildren, John William Price and Angela, Bryan Price and Jennifer, Blaire Bycoffe and Aaron, Curtis Price and Jensen; 7 great grandchildren, John Allen, Cassidy, Luke, Stella and Curtis, Jr (CJ) Price, Benjamin and Sadie Bycoffe.
A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at 1pm in Albert G. Horton Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, VA. with full military honors being rendered.
