Maureen Gail Ozmon, 70, passed away May 19, 2022. Gail was born in Washington, North Carolina to the late Jesse and Eula Waters. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Gail was a member of Chesapeake Baptist Church and a former member of South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church. She worked for Norshipco and retired from Tecnico. Gail was a woman with many skills and talents as evidence by her various jobs in banking, at the phone company, and in catering and entertainment. She graduated from Oscar Smith High School in 1969. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She would do anything for them. She especially liked to drive them wherever they needed to go.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 25 years, William “Bill” B. Ozmon; children, Lisa Yost (Sean), Jaime Tolentino (Erwin), and Benjamin Borum (Annie); grandchildren, Joshua (Katharine), Joseph (Annaliese), Logan, Julia, Benjamin, Elijah, and Jesse; brother, Gary Waters; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Stephanie, and Christopher; mother-in-law, Edwina Ozmon; six brother-in-laws; and a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at 12 noon at Chesapeake Baptist Church, 1101 Burns St., Chesapeake with Pastors Matt Nettesheim and Amos Eby officiating
