Obituary for Marylyn Taylor Friedmann

Marylyn Taylor Friedmann, 69, went home to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ unexpectedly on February 27, 2021. Marylyn was born October 26, 1951 in Norfolk, VA to her precious mom and dad, the late William Riley Taylor Jr. and Mary Tanner Ewing Taylor.

Marylyn Taylor Friedmann was the beloved wife of husband, Scott Edward Friedmann, for 19 years; She was also the much loved mother of daughter, Maryanne Taylor Lemke (Alan); cherished grandmother (Mom-Mom) of Katelyn Mae Gable (Ryan) and Thomas Clark Gable II, dear sister (Muggy) of Diana Taylor Justis (Ray); Billy Taylor (Sharon); Suzanne Taylor Dolan (Matt), very special aunt of Elizabeth Buyrn; Brittany Taylor Elizondo (Manny); Brooke Taylor; Mary Hannah Dolan; Sarah Dolan; Ruth Dolan, much loved granddaughter of the precious late Mary Tanner Follmar, cherished niece of Bettie Westland; David Ewing (June); the late Bobby Taylor (Margo); Richard Taylor (Jean), dear daughter-in-law of Alfred and Paula Friedmann, dear sister-in-law of Kathleen Lowery (Buren), much loved aunt of Jessica Clark (Rob) and Katherine Lowery (John); beloved cat mom of Bonnie Blue Friedmann. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory numerous cousins, family and friends.

Marylyn will be fondly remembered for her love of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her love for the church and church families, the unconditional love and adoration for her dear husband, loving daughter, precious grandchildren, much loved siblings, along with the rest of her loving family. She will also be fondly remembered for her love of horses, cats and other animals, glamour, make-up, shoes, Hallmark movies, romance, music, singing, dancing, the mountains, 700 Club, gardenias and always looking gorgeous and well put together no matter where she was going or what she was doing. Most importantly, she will be most fondly remembered for her beautiful smile, generosity, kindness, loving heart and gentle soul. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Friday, March 5 at 3p.m. at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, with Pastor Tim Lambert officiating. Due to COVID restrictions temperature checks and masks are required to enter the building. Immediately following the service, a reception to celebrate her life will be held at Christian Embassy International Church, 1208 Centerville Turnpike N, Chesapeake.
