Obituary for Mary Ruth Godsell
Mary Ruth Godsell, 88, passed away peacefully at Beth Sholom Village on October 8, 2022. Mary was born in Canyon, TX to the late James and Opal Bragg.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons David Godsell (Cynthia) of Chesapeake, VA and Douglas Godsell (Nadia) of Commerce, TX; grandchildren Nicholas, Erin, Heather, Jacob, Diana, and Angel; and four great grandchildren.
Mary enjoyed the opera, knitting, and genealogy. She was a talented seamstress and was recognized for her volunteer work making chemo hats for local chemo patients.
She retired from government service after many years as a social security case worker in California. Services for Mary will be private. Arrangements are under the care of Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Rd., Chesapeake, VA 23320
