Loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Margurete Dickerson Day, 91, passed away September 29, 2018. Margurete was born in Ambrose, Georgia to the late Carl Dickerson and Recy Lane Dickerson. She retired as a school teacher with the Chesapeake Public Schools after 43 years of dedicated service.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Recia A. Marchione (Angelo) and Harry D. Johnson (Eleanor); grandchildren, Loran and Jeffrey Johnson and Danny, Jr.(Emily), Duane (Marsha), Barry, and Alex Dowdy; great-grandchild, Austin Johnson; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 6-7:30 p.m. A graveside service to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, 524 Cedar Road, Chesapeake.
