Obituary for Margie Lou Ross

Margie Lou (nee Nye) Ross, 79, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. She was born to Clifford Nye and Ruth (Molzon) Nye-Pierce in Antioch, IN and raised in Geneva, OH, where she once worked at Eddie's Grill and was crowned Miss Geneva in 1958 when the city was established.

Margie loved spending time with family and devoted her life to caring for them and others. A registered nurse, she retired from Garden City Osteopathic Hospital in Garden City, MI after she married her second husband Stephen Ross 31 years ago. She loved to sing, dance, and worship. A devout Christian, she was blessed to travel and share her faith while performing in Europe and Israel with her church choir. Margie was full of joy, loved to laugh and never missed a family gathering if she could help it.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband Stephen Ross of Grass Lake, MI; her three daughters with ex-husband Frank Gabriel: Karen King, Sharon Gabriel Eckstein (Craig), Marcy Telfer (John), and step-daughter Terrie Griffes of Jackson, MI; 12 beloved grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; her Ohio siblings Joanne Boyle (Jim), Janice Anderson (Jim), Becky Fellows (Jim), David Nye (Valerie), Timmy Nye, Kathy Peterson (Greg), as well as numerous extended family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Robert Nye, Roger Nye, Mark Nye and Betty Burkhart.

A graveside service will be held in North Kingsville, OH in October at Greenlawn Memory Gardens. Graham Funeral Home, Chesapeake will be caring for arrangements. Please visit www.grahamfuneralhome.com to offer condolences to the family.
