Lester Theodore “Ted” Clarke, 87, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020. He was born in Kentucky to the late Lester F. Clarke and Marjorie Kiser Griswold and also predeceased by his brother, Gene Clarke. He served his country faithfully, retiring from the U.S. Navy.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 28 years, Barbara H. Clarke; daughters, Janellyn Chapman, Wendy Hackworth and her husband Charles II, Kelly Kelley-Magee and her husband Robert; grandchildren, Staciellyn Bruins and her husband Michael, Chase Hackworth, Alexis Hackworth, Tabitha Magee, Tyler Kelley, Samantha Magee, and Noah Kelley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
The family will receive friends Friday, February 28, 2020 from 6 - 7:30pm at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Rd. Chesapeake. A graveside service will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 1pm in Rosewood Memorial Park with full military honors rendered.
