Larry Dale Worley, 73, passed away on April 5, 2024, at home in Chesapeake, VA surrounded by family. Born in North Carolina, he was the eldest son of the late Leroy and Gladys Worley. He had a successful career as a Foreman in the Construction Industry. Larry had a love for the outdoors, the sport of racing, target practice and fishing. But above all else, family was his priority. He was an old school southern gentleman. A literal jack of all trades and an instant friend to every new face he met, with a contagious smile and wicked sense of humor.
Left to cherish his memory, he is survived by his “girls” Heather Dempsey (Aaron Dempsey) and Michelle Sawyer (John Sawyer), grandchildren Tyler Jones (Emily Jones), Morgan Worley (Shayn Evans), Riley Dempsey and Eli Sawyer, 4 beautiful great-granddaughters with 1 great-grandson on the way, siblings Bobby Worley (Sara Worley), Roy Worley, Mark Worley, and Kathy NeSmith (DuWayne NeSmith) along with numerous extended family members.
The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Wednesday April 10, 2024, from 6pm to 8pm. A service to honor his life will be held at Rosewood Memorial Park on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at 12pm, with Pastor Bob Pihlcrantz officiating.
