Lai Ping Ma, at the age of 73, departed our world peacefully on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at the Chesapeake Regional Medical Center where she was surrounded by the love of her dear ones. She was born in Guangzhou, China on February 22, 1949 to her parents, Zhi Xiong Liang and Liu Mei Huang. Upon moving to America, she met and married her husband, Wai On Ma and became a full-time homemaker while her husband owned and managed Kyoto, Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar.


Left to cherish her memory is her husband Wai On Ma, her two godchildren Terence and Seneca Tsang, her younger brother Zhi Hung Liang and a host of other family and friends. If the concept of reincarnation was real, we would all do anything to spend more time with her.
