Kenneth Frank Kuykendall, 81, went to be with the Lord on June 27, 2021. He was born in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania to the late Frank and Carrie Mickey Kuykendall. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his beloved wife, Sandra E. McQuarrie Kuykendall; and brother, Raymond Kuykendall. Kenneth, a Vietnam War veteran, retired from the U.S. Navy after 21 years of honorable service and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Mennonite Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Pete Kuykendall and his wife, Regina; two grandsons, Travis Kuykendall and his wife Katlyn, and Seth Kuykendall and his fiancé Karly Healy; three great-grandchildren, Oaklyn, Sawyer, and Cooper; brother, Norman Kuykendall, sister, Joyce Corl; and numerous extended family members and dear friends.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at Mt. Pleasant Mennonite Church, 2041 Mt Pleasant Rd, Chesapeake, Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 4pm with Pastor Nevin Mast officiating. A time of fellowship and visitation will follow from 5pm-7pm. Burial will be private and at a later date in Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial State Veteran’s Cemetery, Suffolk.
