Obituary for Joyce A. Paul
Joyce Adcock Paul, 81, of Chesapeake Virginia went peacefully home to be with Jesus in heaven on May 4th, 2023.
Joyce is survived by a son, William Gary Paul, Jr, with wife Leah, and six grandchildren: Cameron, Micah, Natalie, Joshua, Eden, and Avery along with nieces and nephews.
Joyce was predeceased by her husband William Gary “Bill” Paul Sr.; two brothers, AD and Wilbur Adcock; and two sisters Lucile Grey and Betsie Barnes.
Joyce retired after 30 years from Verizon which was previously CandP Telephone. Joyce stayed active, enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up and serving in her church. Joyce was a member of Tidewater Baptist Church for over forty years where she served as a secretary, attended services, and enjoyed road trips to the Sights and Sounds Theater with her friends and church family. Joyce professed Jesus as her Savior and enjoyed studying God’s Word.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at 11 AM at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6329 E. Virginia Beach Blvd Norfolk, VA 23502, followed by a reception for friends and family at Tidewater Baptist Church at 1316 Campostella Road Chesapeake, VA 23320.
