Jerry Motes Davis, Sr. went to be with the Lord on March 15, 2020 with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Fairfield, Alabama to the late, William W. Davis, Jr. and Sarah Marie Motes Davis. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his daughter, Jerrie Lynn Davis. Jerry graduated from McAdory High School, McCalla, AL in 1959. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force. He was a member of Rosemont Christian Church, Chesapeake. Jerry was a kind man who loved the Lord. He was an outstanding southern cook who loved fishing in his spare time whether it was in Alabama, Virginia or Alaska.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 13 years, Jane Pierce Davis; daughter, Hope Davis; son, Jay Davis; step-sons, Danny, David and Doug Williams; siblings, Nan Finn, Tom Davis and Kay Clevenger (Gary); numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.

A private family service will be held at later date. The family would like to thank Compassionate Care Hospice of Greenbrier for their care and support and a special thanks to his personal caretakers, Mary Swears and BettyAnn Taylor for their dedication and care throughout the years.
