Obituary for Jeanette Davenport Carawan (Davenport)
Jeanette Davenport Carawan of Chesapeake, VA passed away on September 13, 2021. She was born to the late Cecil and Bettie Davenport on May 29, 1941.
She was a long time sufferer of Parkinson's disease and dementia for many years but she is now finally at peace. Jeanette loved being with her family, cooking, and working in her yard and garden. She also enjoyed taking care of her granddaughters when they were younger. She was very crafty and loved crocheting, knitting, sewing, and painting.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James "Jimmy" Carawan; daughters Sandy McGee (Kevin) and Leasa Meroney (Chris); sisters, Ann Stone and Carol Barksdale; grandchildren, Alyssa Hinchee, Veronia Rupert,Leona McGee and Jakob McGee.
