James R. Watson, 83, passed away in Bladenboro, NC November 17, 2018. James was a native of Marion, SC born to the late Luther and Mary Ellen Collins Watson. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his loving wife, Loretta Lee Suttles Watson. James was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Va. Beach; He was prior owner of Tidewater Carpet Service and then began driving for Quality Carriers until his retirement.
He is survived by his sons, Rickey J. Watson and Thomas W. Watson; two grandchildren, Douglas W. Watson and Christopher L. Watson; 2 great grandchildren; and longtime companion, Linda Yandle.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 25, from 2 to 4 pm at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 26, 2018 at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. James Baker officiating. He will be laid to rest at Rosewood Memorial Park, Va. Beach.
