Obituary for James Paul Patrick Pross

James Paul Patrick Pross, 42, passed away December 15, 2020. James was born in Norfolk, Virginia to Paul Pross and Karen Clewis. As a young man he was the eldest of 4 siblings. He was the big brother to his sisters Jennifer and Scarlet and his baby brother Storm. Like all siblings they bickered and argued at times but at the end of the day they always had each other’s back and loved one another. As a young man growing up in South Norfolk he met, what he knew from the beginning, the love of his life Lisa Taylor. What he did not know was that he would go on to have 3 sons with Lisa Taylor. James Paul was a family man and loved his 3 sons, James Austin, Andrew Dawson, and Ethan Wallace along with his beautiful wife Lisa. He raised his sons to always protect each other and those who can’t protect themselves and his sons have upheld what their father has preached to them since childhood.
James Paul had a variety of hobbies to include landscaping to cooking delicious meals for others. If he had a patch of dirt he could grow something on it and would often times point out to his sons what type of grass or plants they would drive by. When it came to food he was a master at both cooking and eating. He loved cooking dinner for his family but it didn’t stop there. He would cook for friends, family, and even those who were in need or down in life. He loved to help where he could and he knew a thing or two about cooking so why not help those in need. He also loved watching movies with his family. He was a movie man and would even watch the same movie over and over to pass the time. He would find himself reciting lines from movies to his wife and kids with little twists to get a laugh from the family. When possible, he loved to go out to the movies with his wife and sons to catch up on films they were excited to see and would talk about them for days. James Paul’s ultimate goal in life was to marry the women of his dreams. Even though James Paul and Lisa Taylor had been together since their school days and had 3 children, two of which are now grown, he had never officially married the women he had grown to love beyond life itself. On 07 November, 2020 James Paul Pross married his best friend and mother of his children Lisa Pross and achieved his greatest goal in life. He had a gorgeous wedding and possibly one of the best South Norfolk has ever seen and he took his newly wedded wife on a weeklong honeymoon. He fulfilled his lifelong dream and was happily ever after with his wife and has raised 3 strong men in Ethan, Andrew, and James.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, his two little sisters Jennifer and Scarlet, little brother Storm, and his beloved wife, Lisa Marie Taylor Pross; his sons, James Pross, Andrew Pross, and Ethan Pross. James Paul loved all his family and friends and would want everyone who cared about him to celebrate and cherish life with each other and remember him for all the good times. As James Paul would tell his kids, it is not goodbye it is just see you later.
