James Edward "Ed" Jones, 63, passed away February 22, 2023. Ed was born in Virginia to Helen Creekmore Jones and the late JB Jones. He worked in the Parks and Recreation Department for the City of Chesapeake for 33 years before his retirement. After retirement, he pursued a second career in Information Technology and received his Associates Degree in Science with hopes of working for NASA. Ed enjoyed reading, good movies and most of all his grandchildren.

Besides his mother, left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 24 years, Terri Jones; grandchildren, Justin Jones, Nathan Jones, and Fayth Jones; step son, Robert Jones and his wife, Christine and their children, Serenity and Gabriel; step-daughter, Jennifer Marshall and her husband, Andrew and their children Gloria and Natalie; brother, David and his wife, Dana; niece and nephews, DJ, Christine, and James; great niece, Charlotte; and a host of other family and friends.
