James Warren Bateman (Jim), 63, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Sentara Heart Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sunday, June 28, 1959, the son of the Late Warren J. and Patricia L. Bateman. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed boating, fishing, and spend endless hours working on cars, boats, and jet skis. His memory will be cherished by his wife of 29 years, Denise; his two daughters, Courtney Bateman, Hayley Gibbs and her husband, Jacob; his two grandchildren, Everett and Vera Gibbs; his sister, Jan Miller and husband Joel, and brother, Joseph Bateman and wife Karla; and a host of nieces and nephews.
