Obituary for Gladys Dunlow Mansfield

Gladys Dunlow Mansfield, 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 23, 2021. Gladys was born in South Norfolk, VA to the late Kelly and Geneva Casper Dunlow. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Richard H. Mansfield, Jr and her sisters, Barbara, Loretta, and Rosemary. Gladys worked for Virginia Beach Florist for a number of years. Gladys was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed the mountains, casinos, bingo, and making memories with her family. She was a beautiful soul and you were blessed if you were lucky enough to know her.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Jennifer Leigh Richey (Steve), Melissa Lynn Edmonds (Dusty), Beth Mansfield Kennedy; sons, Richard H. Mansfield, III (Cheryl) and Jeffrey Eugene Mansfield; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce and Shelly; brothers, Curt and Woody; as well as nieces, nephews and other close family members and friends.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake, on Friday, February 26, 2021 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Freedom Fellowship, 836 Regency Drive, Virginia Beach on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Rick Hocker officiating.
