Gladis Elena Galicia Argueta, nació en Aldea Palo Grande Chiantla, Huehuetenango Guatemala en noviembre de 1977, la décima hija de 11 hijos de la familia. Estudio sus primeras letras en la Escuela Oficial Rural Mixta de su Paiz natal. Se graduó de Bachillerato en Ciencias y Letras en la ciudad de Huehuetenango. Estudio en la Universidad Galileo dondo obtuvo los créditos de "Diplomado en Automatización de Oficinas", "Técnico en Automatizacion de Oficinas", y "Licenciada en Informatica y Administración de Negocios". Estudio una maestría en Administración Publica. Obtuvo la maestría en recursos humanos en Andragogy Autonomous University Miami Florida Estados Unidos, Noviembre 30 de 2019. Posteriormente estudió en el Instituto Naturista Guatemalteco de Terapias Alternativas donde se graduó de "Naturopata", "Masajista Profesional", "Homeopata"' e "Iridologo", fundó varias empresas, en las cuales estuvo al frente como Gerente. Trabajo en la Comisión Presidencial de Derechos Humanos COPREDEH, como Monitora de Conflictividad. Desempeño los cargos de: Gerente de la Municipalidad de San Pedro Soloma, Secretaria de la Municipalidad de Nenton, trabajo en La Comisión Presidencial de Dialogo y en Ministerio de Salud Publica y Asistencia Social, como Directora de Recursos Humanos.
Como persona y como ser humano muy amable, sonriente, llena de amor, ternura y cariño para quienes la conocieron. Hija ejemplar, hermana incondicional, madre excepcional y esposa comprensiva fueron características que hicieron que sea inolvidable en la vida de todos los que la conocieron.
Fallecio en Virginia Estados Unidos Americanos el 14 de noviembre de 2020.

Gladis Elena Galicia Argueta passed away on November 14, 2020 at the age of 42. Gladis was born in Aldea Palo Grande Chiantla, Huehuetenango Guatemala in November 1977. She was the tenth daughter of 11 children in the family. Gladis studied her first letters at the Mixed Rural Official School of her birthplace. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Letters in the city of Huehuetenango. Gladis also studied at the Galileo University where she obtained diplomas in Office Automation, Office Automation Technician, Computer Science, and Business Administration. She held a master's degree in Public Administration. She obtained a master's degree in human resources from Andragogy Autonomous University in Miami, Florida. Later, Gladis studied at the Instituto Naturista Guatenalteco de Terapias Alternativas where she obtained degrees for naturopath, professional masseur, homeopath and iridologist. Gladis founded several companies, in which she was in charge as a manager. She worked in the Presidential Human Rights Commission COPREDEH, as a Conflict Monitor. Gladis held the positions of: Manager of the Municipality of San Pedro Soloma and Secretary of the Municipality of Nenton. Gladis worked in the Presidential Commission for Dialogue and in the Ministry of Public Health and Social Assistance, as a Director of Human Resources.
Gladis was a very kind, smiling human being, full of love, tenderness and affection for all those who knew her. Gladis was an exemplary daughter, unconditional sister, exceptional mother and understanding wife were characteristics that made her unforgettable in the lives of all who knew her.
