Frederick Christian Weaver, Jr., 85, went home to be with his Lord October 12, 2019. He was born to the late Frederick C. Weaver, Sr. and Mary Davis Weaver. Fred was a charter member of Campostella Heights Baptist Church which became Woodland Heights Baptist Church and a 20-plus year member of the Indian River Ruritan Club. He retired as a small engine mechanic with Metro Machine Corporation. Fred was known as “Mr. Fix It” around the house; he loved outboard boat racing and auto racing. He also was very active with Indian River High School activities with his loving wife; and Campostella Newton Park Annual Reunion. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by his sisters , Margaret W. Gudac and Mary Jane W. Pou.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Lou Parker Weaver; daughter, Mary Christine Weaver Groome; grandchildren, Alexandra Nicole Chisler and Cameron Bailey Chisler; great-grandson, Peyton Bennett Guter and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. A service to celebrate his life will be held Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Immediately following the service, the family invites you to join them in the reception center at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk.
