Florence Grail Long, 71, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021. She was born in Abingdon, VA to the late Frank and Nola Blanche Surber Moore and was 1 of eight children. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers; Frank Moore Jr., Hayes Moore, and Sisters; Betty Casey, Carolyn Pauley, and Glenna Curd. She is survived by brother; David Moore and sister; Eva Rosenbaum. She was also predeceased by her beautiful daughter, Regina Hamby. She was a member of the Eagles Club, but her favorite thing to do was enjoying the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband Jerry Lee Long; son, Ernie Barlow and his wife Tammy, daughter, Christy Baines and her husband Mike; son-in-law, Robert Hamby; grandchildren, Robby (Sarah), Jessica, Dustin, Jeremy (Kaitlynn), Jaysen, Samantha (John), and Kasie (Brandon); great-grandchildren, Hunter, John Jr., Oaklynn, McKenna, and one more on the way. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
The family is inviting friends to pay respects Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 2pm-8pm at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Rd. Chesapeake. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held Friday, January 22, 2021 at 11am at the funeral home.
