Elsie Marshall Jones, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 3, 2023. Elsie was born in Tyrrell County, North Carolina to the late L. Hubert and Alma Spencer. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her beloved husband, Wilbur Jones.

Her favorite things were being active in her church and spending time with family. She enjoyed watching her grandkids play and loved to travel, and cook for her family. She had a truly blessed life and made a memorable impression on every person she met.

The legacy of her love included her children, Marie Johns, Roland Marshall, Sheila Young, Susan Old, Lisa Doza; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren; brother, L. Hubert Spencer, Jr.; and numerous extended family members, and dear friends.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. A service in celebration of her life will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 10:30 am also at Graham Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach.
