Mary Earline Brown, 69, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021. She was born in Norfolk to the late Earl W. and Pauline Grimes Brown. She was a 1969 graduate of Oscar Smith High School and received her bachelor’s degree from Old Dominion University. “Earline” as she was affectionately known, worked for a short time at Cahoon Plantation Golf Course, where she loved to drive the beverage cart, especially during tournaments. She also spent time with the family business, E.W. Brown Plumbing and Heating, but her main job was being there for her mother and caring for her. Earline loved the water; she could be found on the beach almost every Friday toasting the sunset with a glass of champagne or Prosecco (in later years) with her neighbors Charles and Tina Bonner.
Left to cherish her memory is her best friend in the world, Donna M. Cummings; sister, Barbara Brown Bryant; nieces, Darline Price and her husband Mike, and Courtney Bryant; and a host of extended family members and dear friends. The family wishes to thank her hospice caretakers, Anne Bowers, Kristi Beers, and Stephanie Gordon for their compassionate diligence.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 1pm at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Rd. Chesapeake. Burial will follow in Good Hope United Methodist Cemetery.
