Earl “Dink” May, Jr., 88, was born in Boynton, PA to the late Horbert E. and Veda Cathrine Holler May. Dink went home to be with the Lord on January, 25, 2018. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Troy Foster May and sisters, Arretta May Hook (Left), Winnie May Brown (Clarence), and Neva May Lisha (Tony). Dink served in the United States Navy as a Corpsman. He worked in construction for Ames + Webb and retired from Winkleman as a heavy duty equipment mechanic. After his retirement, he worked for Walmart in Norfolk. Dink loved to hunt, fish, garden,and read Louis L’Amour.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 64 years, Sara Jane “Sister” Wood May; daughter, Teresa May Barham (Mark); sister-in-law, Mary Ann Luke (Sam); nieces, Melina McPherson (Steve), Pat Thompson (Jan), and Shelva Hillagas (Jack); nephews, Tom Hook (Jean) and Jeff Grove; great-nieces, Brittany, Kelsey, Kim, and Amy; great-nephews, Samuel, Joseph, Hunter and Dane; Jeff and Jim and a number of cousins and friends.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Great Bridge Baptist Church, 640 S. Battlefield Blvd., Chesapeake.
