Dorothy Ann Potts Lee, 84, of Chesapeake, VA, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 4th, 2021. She was born locally in Norfolk, VA to the late Samuel and Adna Potts. Besides her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother, Samuel Potts III. Dorothy graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Virginia Wesleyan College in 1978; a Master of Social Work in Social Work from Norfolk State University in 1983; and a Doctor of Philosophy in Urban Services from Old Dominion University in 1988. She was a dedicated mother to her sons, a loving wife to her husband, a diligent social worker for Chesapeake Public Schools, and a caring clinical psychologist for Covenant Counseling. She was a member of Great Bridge Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Louis Lee; sons, Bret (Bonnie) and Deems Lee; brother, John (Judy) Potts; grandchildren, Stephanie (Kenny), Tommy (Brenda), Gary (Jessica), Bryce (Justine), and Colby Lee; and four great grandchildren (Kirsten, Easton, Kenny and Madison).
