Obituary for Doris Esteen Smithson (Gregory)
Doris Esteen Gregory Smithson, 94, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on June 26, 2019. She was born in Angier, North Carolina, daughter of the late Charlie and Polly Gregory.
Esteen was predeceased by her husband of 71 years, Noton Smithson. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Joe Perez, grandson and his wife, Jason and Rebecca Perez and great grandson, Owen, brothers, Lyman (Romaine) Gregory, Fred (Lou) Gregory and sister, Hearley Cox, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was an active member of Kempsville Baptist Church and served in many capacities through the years.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake with Pastor Kelly Burris officiating.
