Obituary for Donna Joan Whittler (Elkins)
Donna J. Whittler, 71, of Chesapeake passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday June 21, 2020. She was born in Gary, Indiana to the late William and Betty Elkins and was also predeceased by her husband, Gerald Whittler of 33 years.
Left behind to cherish Donna’s memory are her two sons; Tim Whittler and daughter-in-law, Denise, and Todd Whittler and daughter-in-law, Karen; Grandchildren, Kayla, Isabelle, Jeff, Greg, Kristine, Emmalina and William. Also left behind are great-grandchildren, her sister, Wanda Weston and brother-in-law, Stan. She also leaves behind her best friend, Bitz Mack; as well as many other close friends and extended family.
Donna worked in retail and banking most of her life. She enjoyed vacationing and spending time with family and friends. She loved shelling in Florida with her late husband Gerry and trips to Lake Gaston with her son Tim and his family. Donna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was loved by all and will be missed tremendously by all that knew and loved her.
