Donald Frey Parsons , 88, went to be with his Lord February 19, 2021. Donald was born in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Emmett and Viola Cowherd Parsons. He was also preceded in death by his much loved step-father, George Wiedemer, Jr. Donald graduated from Virginia Military Institute, served in the United States Army, and earned a master''s degree in hydraulic engineering from Auburn University. Donald worked with the Corps of Engineers, Water Resources Council, Department of Commerce, Department of State, and the World Bank. His favorite pastimes included racing cars, sailing, woodworking, bird watching, and reading.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 42 years, Gertrude "Trude" Ann Parsons; sons, Christopher George Parsons (Julie) and Stuart Douglas Parsons (Carrie-Beth); grandchildren, Gregory Alan Matthews, Michael Scott Parsons, Robert Brett Parsons, Brevin Elliot Parsons, Timothy Nicholas Parsons, Katherine Elise Parsons, Madison-Marie Parsons, and Joshua Douglas Parsons; and a host of other family and friends.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Cheasapeake.
