Obituary for Donald Burton McLaughlin, Sr.
Donald B. McLaughlin, Sr. of Saddleback Trail Road passed away April 2, 2021 at the age of 81. Donald was born in West Virginia to the late Harry and Roxey Hitt McLaughlin. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Georgia White McLaughlin, his twin brother, Ronald, and sister, Jeanette.
Donald had retired from Uhaul as a maintenance supervisor; he was a member of Great Bridge Masonic Lodge #257 A.F. & A.M. Donald loved playing Cards and riding his Cushman Scooter.
He is survived by his sons, Donald B. McLaughlin, Jr. and Walter D. McLaughlin and his wife, Stacy; grandchildren, Cara (Kory), Courtney (Adam) and Dashe; two great-granddaughters; his sister, Emma Forehand Carpenter; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Joe Newman officiating. He will be laid to rest privately at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. Due to COVID restrictions temperature checks and masks will be required to enter the building; seating is limited.
