Donald Eugene Holbert, Sr., 91, passed away July 29, 2021. Donald was born in Sandyville, West Virginia to the late Levi and Manilla Sprankle Holbert. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his loving wife, Elizabeth Dinah Holbert, daughter, Donna Jean Holbert Garner, and son, Donald Eugene Holbert, Jr. Donald was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War and retired as the Service Manager of Kimnach Ford and Cavalier Ford. He was a member and Deacon and Trustee of South Norfolk Baptist Church, a lifetime member The Gideons International, and the "Hardees Breakfast Club" of South Norfolk.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Sandra H. Lewis and her husband, Dick; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters; and a host of other family and friends.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at 2 p.m. He will be laid to rest privately at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
