Ray Gaitley, 56, passed away on Jan. 7, 2020. Born to the late James C. Gaitley, Jr. and Lucy T. Gaitley, he was the youngest of five children. Left to cherish his
memory is sister and three brothers; Maria Hardin (Bruce), James Gaitley, III (Karen), Michael Gaitley (Pam), Bobby Gaitley (Cindy), their families, and extended family.
Ray was a skilled electrician and worked at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in ship repair. He was also a talented wood craftsman. He enjoyed using his skills as an electrician and wood craftsman to help family and friends with many projects. He also loved to cook and spend time with family. Words cannot express how much he is loved and will be missed.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date, on March 28, 2020 at 11 AM at Avalon Church of Christ Family Life Center, 844 Woodstock Rd., Va. Beach, VA. A notice will be placed in the paper prior to the service. Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services will be caring for arrangements.
