Dick Landon Warren, Jr., 86, passed away December 26, 2022. Dick was born in Edenton, North Carolina to the late Dick L. Warren Sr. and Chloe Ashley Warren. Dick devoted 35 years working as a plant engineer for Mary Jane Bakery. After retiring from the bakery Dick worked an additional six years as an engineer for Procter and Gamble. Dad also known as Papa, loved fishing with his children and grandchildren. He loved Friday and Saturday night short track stock car racing. Dad/Papa would travel throughout Virginia and North Carolina to follow the number 47 and number 16 car driven by his cousin Phil Warren. Dad/Papa was a big sports fan, he stayed true to his beloved New York Yankees and Kansas City Chiefs, “Go Patrick Mahomie”. Dad/ Papa also loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 66 years, Cynthia Warren; children, Dwight Warren, Debbie Dennis with her husband Michael, and David Warren with Staci Westerfield; grandchildren, Stephen Warren, Stephanie Hill, Brandon Dennis, Cheyanne Fitchett and Korbin Westerfield; great grandchildren, Blake Hill, Cameron Dennis, Landon Warren, and Zach Warren.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Rd. Chesapeake Virginia on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 1pm, followed by a continued fellowship at 1708 Handcross Way, Virginia Beach.
