Deborah "Debbie" Marie Assaid, 68, passed away March 15, 2023. Debbie was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Jefferson and Edna Jenkins Holcomb. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Gary, Steve, and Danny Holcomb. Debbie retired from the Chesapeake School systems after many year of driving a school bus for the kids of Chesapeake. She loved her family the most and enjoyed spending time with them. She also loved the beach and playing card games. One of the most precious things to her was her dog, Rudy.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving sons, Jeffrey Assaid (Elizabeth) and Steve Assaid, Jr; grandchildren, Emma (Jeff) and Evan Assaid (Elizabeth); brother, Bobby E Holcomb; sister-in-law, Glenda Holcomb; aunt, Joanne Nesselrodt; nieces and nephew, Cori, Katie, and Gary Holcomb; cousins, Mike and Greg Towry (Wanda) and Brian Nesselrodt; and a host of other family and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 3 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church, 871 Tulls Creek Road, Moyock, with Pastor James A. Harrington officiating.
