Obituary for Constance Catherine "Connie" Cannon

A beautiful soul, Constance Rimarski Cannon, 88, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, August 15, 2021. She was born in Cleveland, OH to the late R.V. Joseph and Frances Ann Spehar Corrigan. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her two husbands, Edward Rimarski and Edward H. Cannon. She retired from the City of Virginia Beach as a Special Education Teaching Assistant and was a regular volunteer with the Special Olympics. She also volunteered with the Girl Scouts of America and was a Therapeutic Swimming Instructor at the Kempsville Recreation Center. She was a loyal Kempsville Chief mother to her children and attended every wrestling match and every football game her children and grandchildren played. She drove a school bus (70 and 411) and transported athletes to and from games. To know her was to love her. She never met a person she didn''t like. She lived her life to the fullest, camping, traveling the world, swimming, and kayaking. She was courageous, adventurous and a constant source of strength and inspiration.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Teresa M. Williams and her husband Brent, Michele A. Black; sons, Mark R. Rimarski and his wife Amy, and John B Rimarski; sisters, Roberta V. Sower, Barbara A. O''Leary; brothers, Michael P. Corrigan, R.V. Joseph Corrigan; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family and dear friends.
A Christian Wake will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, from 6-7:30pm at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Rd. Chesapeake. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at 11am at Church of the Ascension, 4853 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach with burial to follow in Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
