Obituary for Climaco "Mac" Ruiz

Climaco Ruiz, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away October 16th, 2021. Climaco, “Mac”, lived in Chesapeake, VA, for the last 10 years to be close to his daughter and her family. He was a carpenter by trade, cabinet maker, an avid Dallas Cowboys and New York Yankees fan, and made beautiful leather work for his family and friends. He cherished his daily companion, Lexi, his Boston Terrier, and took her everywhere with him. He loved planting flowers year around in his flower beds no matter the season. He enjoyed the beauty of flowers around his yard.

Climaco is survived by his loving family, his daughter, Terry Erwin, her husband Brian and their two sons, Andrew and Matthew, daughter, Brittany, of Chesapeake, VA. His son, Steve, his wife Susan and their two sons, Kevin and his wife Rebecca, and Joshua, of Kenosha, WI. Four great-grandchildren, Dominic Erwin of Chesapeake, VA, and Marciella, Zita, and Climaco Ruiz (“Little Mac”) of Kenosha, WI. He also has two sisters, Josie Gonzalez and Eloisa Lopez, and 2 brothers, Alex Ruiz and Orlando Ruiz, all from his home town of Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.And a host of neighbors and friends who visited often. Climaco is also predeceased by his father, Eliseo, mother, Jacobita Ruiz, and little sister, Helen Compton, also of Albuquerque, NM.
