Charlotte Faircloth Ivey, 87, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2022. Charlotte was born in Chattahoochee, Florida to the late John and Allie Peters Faircloth. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by two brothers, one sister, and one granddaughter. Charlotte married the love of her life on September 2, 1950, Willie Edward Ivery, Jr. She retired from Chesapeake Public Schools after 18 years as a school bus assistant.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Willie E. Ivey Jr.; son, Eddie Ivey (Sharon); daughter, Becky Phillips (Jay); daughter, Linda Murphy (Bert); daughter, Shirley Ivey; son, Ricky Ivey; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Harry Faircloth; sister, Sarah Whitehurst; numerous extended family members, dear friends, and her most precious fur baby, Sassy.
The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Rd. Chesapeake, on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 from 6-8pm. A service to celebrate her life will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at 11am with Pastor Gordon Ellsworth officiating.
