I first met Charlie when he was an integral part of the campaign to raise funds for Norfolk Christian High School. One evening he spoke in a meeting and I immediately recognized a voice of reason and commitment. He was able to speak with authority due to his love for Jesus and his love for the brethren. Later, my Cherral and I enjoyed his company in the Care Group at the Struthers home and we also got to know his lovely wife, Betty. What a joy to know them both. I also had the privilege of working briefly with Wes, his son, in Emergency settings. It was sad to hear that he is no longer with us, but we do rejoice in his eternal destiny, now fully realized.

Charlie was such a good, kind man. We always loved talking to him when we attended Tab. One summer he paid for our children to attend Triple R. He certainly blessed many people in his lifetime. Praying peace and sweet memories for his family.

Charley was the firearms and training instructor the entire 15 years I worked for NCIS. Just a great guy. He taught me how to shoot straight (somewhat straight). Just a great guy. His signature phrase, "let's hear it one time" for Charlie. RIP my friend.

One of the finest gentlemen I have ever known. I had the honor of working with Charlie at NCIS in the 80s. He always had a kind word and a funny story for all. The world is a less joyful place without him. My deepest sympathy to his family.
