Calvin Via, 92, passed into the presence of the Lord on July 8, 2022. Calvin was born to the late Robert and Grace Williams Via. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Carole Via. Calvin proudly served in the United States Navy. Following his time in the Navy, he continued to serve as a firefighter/fire inspector at Norfolk Naval Base.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Jean; children, Grace, Hope, Daniel (Fong) and David Via; grandchildren, Lori Gittens, Shane Reason, PJ Rousseau, Pauli Jo Rousseau Miller, Jillian, Georgia, Sarah, Jeremiah, Timothy, and Stephen Via; numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at Graham Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 10 a.m. with Speaker Mark Nelson officiating.
