Obituary for Brian Kenneth Shivers Sr.

Brian Kenneth Shivers, 51, passed away on January 27, 2021 at Virginia Beach General Hospital. Brian was born in Chesapeake, Virginia to Thomas and Sarah Shivers. Brian grew up in Chesapeake, Virginia. He graduated from Great Bridge High School in 1988, where he played football, baseball, and made many life long friends. After high school, Brian begin a longtime career in leadership as an Assistant Manager at McDonald''s and a Manger/General Manager at IHOP. He loved to cook and feed people.

Brian was known for dedicating his time to work, his kids, and other kids in his community. Brian coached many sports in Norfolk including football, basketball, and baseball. He was a great mentor.
Even though Brian was known for his coaching, mentorship, and his hard work, he was known more for his big heart, goofy personality, huge smile, and deep dimples. Brian made sure everyone else was taken care of before himself. He had a care free personality, and loved to lighten any situation with a joke or smile.

We want him to be remembered for his big heart, smile, deep dimples, and carefree attitude. As we all know he would say, I''m good B.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Heather Shivers; two daughters, Jasmine Bradley (Shiquel) and Brittany Jeffery; four sons, Brian Shivers, Jr. (Marissa) Stedminn Shivers, Davon Mason (Zeriah) and Steven Boyser; one loving sister, Tasha Whidbee (Calvin); one beloved brother, Kelvin Jones (Linda); five precious grandchildren, along with countless extended family, work family, and friends.
