Bobby Ray Hicks, 86, passed away July 8, 2021. Bobby was born in Manila, Arkansas to the late William and Virgie Rhodes Hicks. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Dorothy "Helen" Hicks and siblings: Rancel "Bud"; Andrew; Johnny; Floyd; Henry "Bubby"; Audrey; and Paul. After proudly serving in the United States Army, he continued to serve as a Budget Analyst with the Civil Service.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 14 years, Beverly Kemp; and sons, Dyrell Hicks and his wife, Joyce; and William Hicks; grandchildren: Stephen Hicks and wife, Lydia, Kimberly Hicks and husband, Samuel; Matthew Hicks and John Hicks and his wife, Lydia; great grandchildren, Josiah, David and Serena Williams; and Elise Hicks; of Bob's generation, his brother-in-law's wife, Velma Martin; and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 from 6 - 8 p.m. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Chesapeake Memorial Gardens, 564 Cedar Road, with Pastor Chris Williams officiating.

Family and friends are welcome to a pot luck lunch and fellowship Wednesday at 11:30 after the graveside service, at New Creation Community Center, 1600 Elbow Road, Chesapeake.
