Obituary for Billie Marie Bowdoin (Angeron)

Billie Marie Bowdoin (73), of Norfolk, peacefully began eternal life on September 5, 2019 after a lengthy battle with failing health. Her daughters were by her side when she came face to face with her Savior, Christ Jesus.

Billie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, James Bowdoin; two daughters, Shantell (Karl) Pinto of Suffolk and Theidus (Christopher) Guanzon of Virginia Beach. Other loved ones left to cherish her memory include her grandchildren, Samantha (Robert) Johnson, Haleigh Pinto, Kyle Pinto (Megan Tucker, fiance), Alyza Guanzon, and one great granddaughter, Harper Johnson; as well as a host of other family and friends. Billie was preceded in Heaven by her youngest granddaughter, Kyla Guanzon; her parents, Willie and Odelia Angeron; and three sisters, Martha Prudhomme, Brenda Melvin, and Donna Scully Boutwell.

In life, Billie served others, both by profession and in the way she cared for her family and those she loved most. She loved God and Jesus with her whole heart, and was a student of God's Word, having attended Bible College some years ago. Billie also adored her fur-baby, Highway. She was always up for a friendly game of Progressive Gin. Billie discovered flower gardening in her later years and greatly enjoyed adding to the beauty of her home by working in her yard for as long as her health allowed her.

Billie will be missed beyond measure, but we hold tight to the knowledge that one day we will be reunited with her in Heaven - and what a glorious day that will be.

There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering at a later date. In lieu of flowers, feel free to make a donation in Billie's name to your most loved charitable organization.
