Betty Jean Abbott, 92, went home to be with the Lord May 11, 2021 in Northville, Michigan. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Beverly Simmons, and Joanna McClellan and her husband, Jack; sons, Byron E. Abbott, Jr. and his wife, Linda, and Timothy E. Abbott; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great granddaughter. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years, Byron E. Abbott, Sr.; and siblings, Jesse Lee Burgess and Marilyn Burgess.
A service to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 2pm at Graham Funeral Home, 1112 Kempsville Rd. Chesapeake with burial to follow at Magnolia Cemetery, Norfolk.
