Benjamin Tomas Palad Berbano, 82, passed away June 2, 2021. Benjamin was born in Manila, Philippines to the late Santiago and Angelica Palad Berbano. He graduated with his Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology, and retired as the Supervising Engineer from National Power Corp after 20 years of service. Benjamin loved to play basketball and his favorite team was Toyota. He liked horse racing, thrift store shopping, and collecting business cards from different stores.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Carmelita Berbano; daughters, Johanna Angelica Cabral (Dennis) and Maria Anna Garcia (Luis); sons, Tomas Benjamin Berbano Jr. (Fe Esperanza) and Tomas Benjamin Berbano III (Anne Esperanza); sisters, Dr. Alicia B. Tamesis, Teresita Belmarch, Victoria Berbano, and Maria Berbano; grandchildren, James Nicol Berbano (Cass), Alexis Gail Shirley (Spencer), Sydney Mae Berbano, Jasmine Pearl Garcia, Vincent Ace Berbano, Diana Jean Berbano, James Matthew Carbel, Chrisanta Joy Garcia, Amy and Zylah.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at the Catholic Church of Saint Mark, 1505 Kempsville Road, Virginia Beach with Fr. Anthony Mpungu officiating.
