Obituary for Anna Lee Manuel

Anna Lee "Ann" Manuel, 94, went to be with the Lord peacefully on January 12, 2023. Ann was born in Virginia to the late Alexander and Anna Foster MacMillan. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her loving husband of 49 years, Melvin Edward Manuel, son Thomas Edward Manuel, brothers Harold MacMillan, Raymond MacMillan, Edward MacMillan and granddaughter Kasey Ann Goodnoh.. She was a graduate of Great Bridge High School and Kee's Business School. She was active in a Kings Daughters circle and a member of the Eastern Star. She also loved to play bridge with several groups. Ann was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving son, Frank Peter Manuel (Laurie); daughters, Kim M. Nozzarella (Dwayne) and Anna Lee Long (Tom) and daughter-in-law, Kathleen Manuel; grandchildren, Jaime, Jenn, Chris (Crystal), Ashley (Bill), Sarah, Andrew, Ben (Kandace), Jack (Jenny), Katie (Shane), Bekah, Lucas, as well as two bonus grandchildren, William and Lisa Cotten. Also 9 great grandchildren; Matthew, Taylor, Seth, Owen, Ethan, Arya, Dominik, Zachariah and Baby Elliott arriving in June; nieces, nephews, and faithful friends Bill and Betty Cotten and Neil and Marguerite Windley and last but not least her bridge pals.

The family will receive friends at Graham Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1112 Kempsville Road, Chesapeake on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 from 5-7:00 p.m. A service to celebrate her life will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at 12 noon at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 5767 Sellger Drive, Norfolk. Please join us for a reception in the fellowship hall immediately following the service. She will be privately laid to rest beside her husband at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Norfolk.
